OUR STORY
Established in 2003, on the back of an assignment in the Niger Delta, INCAS helped Shell to navigate threats in this rights-sensitive, volatile region. Our success was based on localised insights, strategic engagement and dialogue with security forces, focused community security measures, effective conflict resolution, and continuous client engagement to ensure conflict-sensitivity in operations.
Our expertise led to assignments across Nigeria, Russia, Iraq, and Latin America, addressing threats from armed factions, resolving disputes, restoring social licences, and fostering public trust. Simultaneously, we worked with clients to tackle illicit economies linked to resource theft.
Clients included the European Commission, ECOWAS, the British and Norwegian governments, the World Bank and the United Nations. With over 235 projects in both private and public sectors, INCAS emphasises social impact, peace, and security, especially in transitional, fragile, and conflict-affected regions.
